For the past several months, work on Casa Sell has been like a foxtrot: “slow… slow… quick, quick!” The highlight of the summer was the installation of the front door—handmade by a local carpenter, a beautiful thing. We corresponded with Blake, picking out ceiling fans, door handles, and drawer pulls. I spent most of my free time on the Internet looking for things like whole-house water filters and fireplace inserts.
Finally, we could stand it no longer. In late September we headed to Baja.
The Hotel Buena Vista was completely booked the night of our arrival, and we had thought briefly about camping out in the house that night. Instead, we stayed in Cabo that night and used the time to shop. And it’s a good thing we did. The next day… (Continue story here)
